Since its founding in 1979, the dental facility has been dedicated to providing quality dental healthcare to its patients. Their commitment to reasonable pricing, Ozark hospitality, and unique same-day service is how Doctors Harold E. George and Frederick C. Lauer made Mid-America Denture Clinic so special. Dr. Jay Hildreth continued that legacy when he established the Dental Centers' practice in 1995 and purchased the Mid-America Denture Clinic in 1997.

The Dental Center, in Mt. Vernon, Missouri, is located inside the Mid-America Dental & Hearing Center, which custom pioneered the same-day denture in the Ozark Mountains. The clinic offers a wide range of non-specialty interest services, including:

The Dr. Harold & Betty George family is deeply rooted in the company, ensuring trust and reliability. Their son, Scott George, is a Board-certified Hearing Instrument Specialist and President for all non-professional services. Their grandson, Brian George, serves as Chief Executive Officer, while their granddaughter, Dr. Cheryl Williams, serves on the board, reinforcing the family's commitment to the clinic's success.

Brian Collins, D.D.S.
Dentist
Dr. Brian Collins joined the Dental Centers Team in January 2008. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology/Chemistry from Southwest Missouri State University (SMU) and his D.D.S. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Dr. Collins practiced in Southwest Missouri for 12 years before coming to Dental Centers.
He joined Mid-America Dental because "The Dental Center allows me to do what I love, focus on caring for my patients."
Dr. Collins lives in Springfield, Missouri. He has three boys: Brett, Easton, and Treye. He enjoys basketball, baseball, Fantasy Football, his kids, and outdoor activities in his free time.
Sandra Muoghalu, D.D.S.

We are excited to introduce the newest Associate Dentist to our team at Mid-America Dental Center, Dr. Sandra Muoghalu. With 26 years of experience and a deep commitment to providing top-notch dental care, Dr. Muoghalu is dedicated to serving the Southwest Missouri community and our Dental Centers. She is passionate about ensuring the health and beauty of your family's smiles.
Dr. Muoghalu earned her D.D.S. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1998 and has proudly cared for patients in Missouri, most recently at Marshfield Family Dental.
Her approach to dentistry is deeply personal. She genuinely cares about her patients' comfort, listens to their concerns, and treats them as if they were her own family. When she's not at the Dental Centers, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, as well as indulging in her love for reading and traveling.

We are happy to announce the addition of Dr. David Ewing, D.D.S., to the Mid-America Dental Center family! With over 17 years of outstanding dental experience, Dr. Ewing is poised to make a significant impact on our practice and the community we serve. A proud graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), he began his career in the United States Air Force, where he refined his dental skills and cultivated an unwavering commitment to patient care.
Having practiced in Kansas City, Dr. Ewing is eager to bring his exceptional expertise to Southwest Missouri. His approach to dentistry transcends routine treatments—he truly seeks to enhance his patients' overall health and well-being. We are confident that his dedication and innovative perspective will be a tremendous asset to both our team and the individuals we serve.
Dr. Ewing enjoys quality moments with his fiancée and their four children in his free time. He is also an avid fan of tabletop role-playing games and loves immersing himself in a good book. Hygienist
Nancy Maus, a Registered Dental Hygienist, serves patients at the Mid-America Dental & Hearing Center. Nancy earned a BS from the University of New Mexico in 1978 and her Associate of Hygiene in 1989 at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin.
Nancy is a hygienist on the Missouri Dental Board and Advisory Commission of Missouri Dental Board and serves as a Board examiner for three testing agencies. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association, the Missouri Dental Hygienists' Association, and the American Association of Dental Boards.
Nancy says about her profession, "I like helping people maintain good oral health. I enjoy what I do; I love meeting the friendly faces of everyone who comes in". She currently lives in Springfield and has three children and eight grandchildren.
Nancy loves spending time with her family. She also enjoys running, playing handbells at her church, and pheasant hunting. She is a huge KC Chiefs fan! GO CHIEFS!
Kim Evans
Hygienist
Kim Evans, a Registered Dental Hygienist, serves our patients at the Mid-America Dental & Hearing Center. Kim earned her Associate's Degree in Hygiene in 2015 and her Bachelor of Health Science degree with a focus on Biology in 2017 from MSSU. As a child, Kim found the field of dentistry fascinating. She has always been passionate about teeth and loves to see her patients' oral health improve.
Kim resides in Joplin and has spent most of her life raising her daughter, Laurel, in the Four State area. In her free time, she loves going to the beach, spending time with family, reading, and loves her sports, especially KU…Go Rock Chalk!
