Meet The Dental Staff

Dr. W. Heiss

Dr. Heiss has lived in Southwest, Missouri for the past 25 years. He is an Ozark native, growing up in Springfield, Missouri.

Dr. Heiss received his undergraduate degree from Drury College in Springfield, Missouri and attended the University of Missouri - Kansas City for his D.D.S. degree.

Dr. Heiss joined the Dental Centers team in 1996. He has four grown children and ten grandchildren. He enjoys traveling and collects antique trains. Dr. Heiss serves patients at the Highway location. 
 


Dr. Ed Campbell

Dr. Ed Campbell joined Mid-America in 1991. He received a Bachelor of Arts from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri and his D.D.S. degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City.

Dr. Campbell has a wife and three grown sons. Dr. Campbell works at Dental Center's Loop location.

 

 


Dr. Brian Collins

Dr. Brian Collins became a member of the Dental Centers Team in January 2008. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology/Chemistry from Southwest Missouri State University (SMU) and his DDS from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Dr. Collins practiced in Southwest Missouri for 12 years before coming to Dental Centers. He is also a member of the American Dental Association and the Missouri Dental Association.

Dr. Collins said he joined the dental team because, "coming to Dental Centers allows me to do what I love, focus on caring for my patients."

Dr. Collins lives in Springfield, MO. He has three boys, Brett (24), Easton (15), and Treye (12). In his free time, he enjoys basketball, baseball, Fantasy Football, his kids, and outdoor activities.


Dr. Robert Couch

Dr. Robert L. Couch, DDS joined the Dental Centers team in August 2011. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Pittsburg State University, and received his DDS from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Dentistry.

Dr Couch is from Lamar Missouri, where he grew up and still resides. He and his wife Marilyn have been married for 45 years. He has three children and three grandchildren. In his free time, Dr. Couch is an avid fly fisherman, and enjoys catching trout.

 


Donna Jackson RDH

Donna Jackson, a Registered Dental Hygienist, serves patients at Mid-America Dental & Hearing Center-Loop. She earned her Associate of Science in Hygiene in 1997 at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin.

"I like helping my patients keep their teeth," Donna says about her profession. "A lot of what I do is educating my patients to practice good dental health and improve their lives."

Prior to becoming a Register Dental Hygienist, Donna utilized her graphic arts background, working as a graphic artist for a printing and sign company.

Donna calls Aurora, MO home. She is an avid gardener at home. She also enjoys doing a variety of creative crafts, drawing from her graphic arts background.

Donna has three grandchildren; Joseph (17), Angel (14) and Victoria (12).


Laura Kester RDH

Laura Kester, a Registered Dental Hygienist, serves patients at Mid-America Dental & Hearing Center-Highway. She earned her Associate of Science in Hygiene at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin.

"I'm committed to good dental hygiene for my patients," Laura says about her profession. Her patients comment on her friendly and professional attitude. "I try to do everything I can to serve the hygiene needs of my patients while making their visit as comfortable as possible for them," Laura said.

Laura calls Carthage, Missouri home and is a lifelong resident of this Southwest Missouri community. When she's not seeing her patients, Laura loves spending time with her family.

Laura is recently married to husband Shane and has two children; a son, MacKenzie and a daughter Brianna. Says Laura, "My children and husband are the light of my life."


Wendy Kalbaugh RDH

Wendy Kalbaugh, a Registered Dental Hygienist, serves patients at the Mid-America Dental & Hearing Center-Loop location. She earned her Associate of Hygiene at Ozarks Technical Community College in Springfield. Wendy joined the Dental Centers Team in September of 2009.

"I love to take care of my patients," Wendy says about her profession. A longtime resident of Mt. Vernon, Wendy also enjoys working close to home so she can ride her bicycle to work. She lives on a nearby farm with her husband, Scott. She and Scott have two sons, Trey (20) and Kyler (17).

Wendy is a member of ADHA and ADA. She also received a Leadership Award while attending Ozarks Technical Community College. Her hobbies include riding motorcycles, gardening, flowers, yard work, horseback riding, going to garage sales and just being outside at any opportunity.
